HERE ARE SOME COMMON QUESTIONS WE GET? IF YOUR QUESTION IS NOT HERE, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL US!
Q: Do I need to make an appointment to bring my coins in?
A: Walk-Ins are always welcome during business hours. However, if you have a massive collection or an estate that might take more time to evaluate, feel free to call ahead so we can book you an appointment
Q: How do you determine what you pay for coins?
A: Bullion coins are priced directly off the live global spot price of gold or silver at the exact moment you walk in. Collectible (numismatic) coins are evaluated based on their scarcity, exact condition or grade and historical demand.
Q: Do you buy jewelry with diamonds or gemstones?
A: Yes, although our primary focus is on the precious metal content (gold, silver, or platinum), if you would like we can remove the stones for you for free.
Q: What do I need to bring with me to sell gold?
A: By California state law, anyone selling precious metals must present a valid, government-issued photo ID (such as a Driver's License or Passport) and be at least 18 years old. The process is quick, confidential, and completed in just a few minutes.
Q: Should I clean my coins before I bring them in?
A: No, leave them exactly as they are- dirt, toning and all! Cleaning, scrubbing or polishing a coin can permanently damage its surface and instantly erase up to 90% of its collector value.
Q: Where do I park?
A: We have parking spots directly in front of our store, or you can park on the side of the building.
Q: Do you do house calls?
A: We do house calls in special circumstances, such as if you have a massive estate that is too extensive to be boxed up. We also can meet at a bank if you do not feel safe transporting your gold from your safe deposit box.
